Interested in learning more about how coffee gets from being a fruit to being a roastable seed?  This is the class for you.

We'll dive into the history of coffee processing, different coffee harvesting methods, sorting methods, and standard coffee processing methods.  We'll cover natural, honey, mechanically de-mucilaged, fully washed, and wet hulled methods.This course is designed for coffee professionals at all levels of the supply chain, including growers and baristas. It covers the key processing methods, their implementation, and their influence on coffee's chemistry and flavor. The goal is to educate the consuming end of the coffee industry on the terminology, fundamental biological concepts, and complexities and difficulties of processing high-quality coffee in a consistent and safe manner.

This class will be taught Nov 14-15 by Drew Billups at Atlas Coffee Importers in Edmonds WA.
